Bristol Bright Night will take over the city on 25 September. Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of events happening as part of this celebration of research. Roles include timing bite-sized talks, helping to set up the researchers’ fair, helping manage and informing the public for an interactive display on digital instruments and supporting schools day. We also need a couple of volunteers to help deliver the activities at a stall on Science and Poetry. If you are interested in Science or Poetry and willing to play with words please get in touch. For more information and to volunteer contact kelly.atkins@bristol.ac.uk

2. Become a Cabot event volunteer

It is open to University of Bristol researchers from any discipline who want to develop their public engagement repertoire. This opportunity is offered through the RCUK School-University Partnership Initiative (SUPI), which aims to inspire and raise aspirations of secondary school students through engagement with cutting edge research. For more information or to book please contact chloe.anderson@bristol.ac.uk at the Centre for Public Engagement.
