University of Bristol engagement
1. University of Bristol Engage conference: 18 September
Join colleagues and partners at Engage - the University of Bristol’s annual conference about public engagement. Hear about the future direction of public engagement at Bristol, get inspired by colleagues' activities, and meet and exchange ideas with potential partners over an informal networking lunch, There will also be a discussion session on aspects of public engagement that are a priority for staff, students and the University.

2. Volunteering at Doors Open Day: 14 September
We are looking for staff and students to help out at the “Hands-on Research” fair that we are organising within the Doors Open Day. Volunteers will be able to help deliver some of the activities that several research groups will be bringing to the Wills Memorial building. It will be a great opportunity to engage visitors with the current research that is taking place at the University. 3. Festivals Fortnight: 2-15 November
Thinking Futures and InsideArts - the University's Festivals of Social Sciences and Arts - have joined forces to create Festival Fortnight in November. Showcasing the breadth of research from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law and the Faculty of Arts, there will be events ranging from panel debates to exhibitions to drama performances - aimed at audiences from school pupils to policy-makers. 4. Opportunity to take part in Bristol Islamic Cultural Fayre: 25 August
The Bristol Muslim Cultural Society are looking for staff and students to take part in Bristol Islamic Cultural Fayre, which takes place from 12:00-18:00 on the 25 August in Eastville Park. One of the aims of the Fayre is to spark interest in education, especially in children and young adults; as such, they are looking for people to showcase interactive exhibits about research at the University. The Fayre attracts people from diverse backgrounds and is well attended, with an audience in excess of 10,000 people.
